LASIK is generally not painful. Numbing eye drops are used before the
procedure, so most patients feel little or no pain during surgery.
Mild burning, watering, or a gritty sensation may occur for a few
hours afterward.

The actual laser treatment usually takes only a few minutes per eye.
The complete procedure, including preparation and post-operative
instructions, generally takes around 15 to 30 minutes.

Many patients notice improved vision within the first few hours or
days after LASIK. Vision may fluctuate initially and usually becomes
clearer as the eyes heal.
