Eye yoga exercises
- Palming:
Rub your palms together to generate warmth, then gently cup them over your closed eyes to promote relaxation.
- Blinking:
Rapidly blink for 10–15 seconds, then softly close your eyes and relax to help hydrate the eyes and alleviate dryness.
- Focus shifting:
Sit comfortably and alternate your focus between a distant object and a nearer one, such as your thumb, for a few minutes.
- Figure Eight:
Extend your arm to eye level, concentrate on your thumb, and move it in a figure-eight motion for approximately 30 seconds. Trace the same figure with your eyes without moving your head.
- Eye Rolling:
With your head stationary, slowly roll your eyes up, down, and sideways in a large circular motion, repeating the action three times in each direction (both clockwise and counter-clockwise).
- Trataka (Candle Gazing):
Sit comfortably and direct your gaze at a candle flame for as long as possible without blinking. After looking away, focus on the afterimage of the flame with your eyes closed.
